How lovely it is to have a little online community!
I have been wanting to start something like this for a while now, and recently I have felt that the pace at which I consume books (and the backlog that exists in my brain) is conducive to a platform like a newsletter.
Bookcrumbs is a weekly newsletter that I send with love to you. The aim is to pack in the mood of the novel in as few words as possible, because your time is valuable and we spend enough time on email as it is. Along with every book recommendation, I send a film and song pairing that I think is both a fun accompaniment and also conveys more clearly what I think the novel is about.
You can think of me as a friend who digests large amounts of words in the form of novels and sifts the ones that I think will 1) galvanize your nerve endings, 2) appeal to the most amount of people, 3) not break your wrist in their tome-quality, and 4) simply be a fun and pleasurable read. You could always go to websites that offer book lists, and there are many that are lovely. But I am just one person with no sinister corporate tricks that attempt to lure you into a specific kind of book, or algorithm designed to keep you coming back. In other words, this is a sweeter platform, because I am just a person who likes to read talking to someone of the same nature.
Every new edition of the newsletter goes directly to your inbox. I will not send any extra spammy emails, because Google storage is a sacred and expensive thing. You will start receiving updates right here in your inbox. You can also log in to the website to read the full archives and other posts as they are published.

If you can’t find the newsletter, check your spam folder. And please mark this address as ‘not spam.’ If the newsletter isn’t in your spam folder, either, you should look in the Promotions tab.
You can always see everything on the website.
Thanks again, and please tell a few friends if you feel like it.
All the best Mahika! So proud ❤️
Can't wait!! So excited mahi-koo-koo!
